Welcome to Kestrels

Kestrels class is a mixed year 5 and 6 class. Mrs May is the teacher and the LSA is Miss Preston. On a Tuesday morning the class is taught by either Mrs Holgate or Mrs Jennings on alternative weeks.

Friday afternoons the class is taught by Mrs Holgate. Kestrels class has PE on a Thursday afternoon and a Friday morning.

The mornings start off with PSHE lesson 3 mornings a week and 2 mornings of French. Followed by SFA and writing. Maths follows after break-time. Our learning is based around the year 5 and 6 curriculum and our topics are Ancient Greece, World countries and Biomes, Properties of materials, Animals including humans, and computer programming lessons using scratch. Weekly Art or DT lessons are also included. We also have weekly sessions about your rights and the pupils are learning about what it means to be a rights holder and duty bearers.
